Lacock VillageLacock is a charming village more or less unchanged for hundreds of years. Go when it's not overrun by
tourists if you can. Plenty of cafes and restaurants. Lacock Abbey dates from 1229 and is well preserved.
Its grounds make for contemplative strolling.
The village also houses the Fox Talbot museum which tells the story of William Henry Fox Talbot's developments in the 1840s, including the invention of silver iodide coated photographic paper which laid the foundations of modern photography. |map| |next attraction|
