Kingston LacyImagine
Blenheim Palace but a quarter the size and you have a good
idea of what Kingston Lacy is like. The house itself is sumptuous and Tardis-like - bigger on the inside than you
think it's going to be - and the gardens are gorgeous and just about big enough to get lost in.
The woodland walk round the perimeter of the gardens takes half an hour or so. Don't miss the fern garden, and once in it make sure you go through the white gate otherwise you'll miss the ice cream terrace. Allow 3 hours or much more if you want to picnic, to walk for miles in the parkland or simply linger. Definitely worth joining the National Trust if this is your sort of place. |map| |next attraction|
