Kents CavernKents Cavern was home to stone age man and is now home to a well-honed tourist attraction.
The knowledgeable guide takes you through the cavern's 2 million year history and tells you all about
the 500,000 year old stone tools and the 37,000 year old human fossils found here - the oldest discovered in Britain.
The tours are fairly frequent so if you happen to get there just as a school party arrives you can relax in the cafe and wait for a more civilised tour. Afterwards, if you're still feeling energetic, perhaps take the woodland path down to Meadfoot beach. |map| |next attraction| |
