D-Day Museum & Overlord EmbroideryThe D-Day Museum tells the D-Day story in fascinating detail from its earliest inception through its planning and
preparation to D-Day istelf.
The Museum also houses the Overlord Embriodery which is a Bayeux Tapestry-style
pictorial representation of the War and particularly of D-Day.
Among the vehicles there's a landing craft you can clamber aboard. A short film powerfully evokes the wartime atmosphere. The museum is on the seafront next to Henry VIII's Southsea Castle. |map| |next attraction|
