Brougham Castle
There's not an awful lot to see, but you can climb up inside the walls which is fun.
The castle dates from the 13th century and is the sort of flash thing a 13th century footballer
would have built rather than part of any ruler's suppression of the natives.
If you find yourself near Penrith Brougham Castle is a soothing diversion for an hour or so. |map| |next attraction|
