Bath Abbey Roof TourIt's 212 spiral steps up to the roof of Bath Abbey but it's a rewarding climb.
First stop, after only 120 steps, is the bell ringers' room which also houses the 19th century clock mechanism.
Then along to the inside of the Abbey clock face, across to see what the vaulted ceiling looks like from above
then up to the ten bells in the tower and finally up to walk on the highest bit of the Abbey's roof.
From the top there are great views of Bath, including down into the Roman Baths - have the camera at the ready. The tour takes about 50 minutes and the guides know their stuff. Tours run on the hour. Sally Lunn's is just around the corner. |map| |next attraction|
